![]() ![]() I try to not build farms next to my city as it will likely create problems when I need to expand the city. ![]() Around the city, towards the beaches, is where I place my farms. Heding inland from there usually is my residential discrict and capitol (In sandbox games at least). I usually build an industrial district (Rum Distillery, Cannery, Cement Factory (DLC) and Chem Plant NEXT TO the Port. I usually build blocks of farms or plantations away from the city. Of course, if you spread farms out too much, you're just wasting space. It's almost impossible to make the crops grow in a perfectly condensed space, so the more room the better. Productivity is affected by ground quality and available room for the 5 crop "squares". So it is a good idea to build your city structures well away from your farms? The productivity of the farms is affected by how much space the farm is allowed to grow its crops? ![]()
